The Grace of God Can Redeem Your Past Mistakes!

Hello Readers & Followers,

I hope you are well. Let me ask you, who do you think would win an award for "The Most Outstanding Christian." Your Pastor? You? Your Favourite Preacher? Your Parents? Your Spouse? A Prayer Warrior? An Evangelist? Someone, you know? 

Do you know that all the people that I have mentioned above have all made one mistake or the other regardless of how committed to the Lord they may have been/are? The difference is that the degree of mistakes that we all make varies but they are still mistakes.

Despite the mistakes, God never stopped loving you but He is patiently waiting for you to turn to Him by acknowledging your past mistakes, turn away from your mistakes, and change the way you live by letting your new way of life please Him (God).

The God of Grace regularly shows you His undeserving kindness by freeing you from the guilt of your past mistakes.


In the Book of Luke 15:11-32,  the Prodigal Son made a mistake but he was restored and the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ empowered him to make the right choice. God's desire is for you not to keep making the same mistakes again. 

I would like to run you through some things for you to consider to prevent you from making future mistakes.

Be mindful of:

1) Your Desire - The Word of God says in James 1:14-15 "You are tempted by the evil things you want. Your own desire leads you away and traps you. Your desire grows inside you until it results in sin. Then the sin grows bigger and bigger and finally ends in death."

What are the things that you are desiring now? Are those the things the Lord is desiring for you?

2) Your Decision - What decision are you about to make? Are you seeking God's guidance before you make the decision? Or do you make decisions that are independent of God? 

Do you take a pause to study the consequences of the decision you are about to make? 

When you choose to make decisions that are independent of God, you are likely to make mistakes.  Proverbs 3:5 says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."

Whose understanding are you leaning on when you are making a decision? God or your own understanding or your emotions? 

Do you prefer to do your own thing? If you choose to do your own thing, the likelihood of making a mistake or going outside of God's purpose for your life is high. 

Do not forget the role of satan, he played a significant role in deceiving Eve and in deceiving the Prodigal Son. Most likely, the devil deceived the Prodigal Son by telling him that he would be better off spending and wasting all the money. In the same way, the devil deceived Eve into eating the fruit from the tree that God had asked them not to eat from, she gave some to her husband to eat as well (Genesis 3:1-12). Eve acknowledged the role of the deceiver, she said to God, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." (Genesis 3:13).

Eve chose to believe satan rather than the counsel of the Lord to her, which led to a terrible mistake that came with consequences (Genesis 3:13-19). The Prodigal Son's mistake also led to consequences. He became extremely hungry and fed on pigs' food (Luke 15:14-17). The Prodigal Son came to his senses because the Grace of the Lord strengthened and empowered him and he was restored.



Are you in despair?

Have you made a terrible mistake?  The Grace of God wants to restore you. Are you going to reach out to Christ to amend your ways? 

Do you want to avoid making mistakes so that your current decision will not end up being a mistake, why don't you consider the teaching above?

Where do you get your source of power from?

What power is guiding your decision-making?

What power is guiding your choices?

What power is guiding your habits?

When you are guided by PLS (Power, Love and Self-control) from the Spirit of God, you will be able to live a Godly life that pleases Christ.

To tap into this Christ's PLS, you need to ensure you discipline yourself to study your Bible, you Respond to what you are reading, you Pray diligently, and you are part of a Christian fellowship that will steer your heart to live a Godly life.

God wants you to operate in His Triple Power.

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?



Halloween is associated with darkness, witches, and death. It glorifies darkness, ghosts, witches, and wizards.

1 Corinthians 10:31b says "‭‭Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Ephesians 5:11 says ‭‭"Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them."

Don't welcome demons into your life or in your surroundings or your children's lives.

Halloween is a time for you to be more spiritually alert and pray against the works of darkness in your community. It is not the time for you to participate in it.

If you say you are a Christian, you cannot serve God who is the light and satan who embraces darkness at the same time. You cannot be an unbelieving Christian. Jesus said in Luke 4:8 "‭‭You must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him."

Jesus wants you to be the light of the world. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14‭ says “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden."


Matthew 5:16 says "In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father."

Christian parents and caregivers have the responsibility to educate their children regarding the evil that comes with Halloween pumpkins, costumes, and the Trick-or-Treat tradition. Adults should likewise lead by example to the young ones. It's not the time you should start participating in a disco Halloween party.

Shine the light of God this season. Let all that you participate in this season give God glory. Let all that you do please God.

Stand out for Christ as a family!
Encourage your children to stand out for Christ!
Find ways to shine the light of Christ this season. Perhaps throw a light party? Have a prayer night? A Gospel worship music jamming session? Share Christian Tracts.

Let the Spirit of God guide you.

You are not alone!

 


God sees what you're going through. God cares about what you're going through. Have faith in God to see you through. Exodus 3:12a says, God answered, "I will be with you."

I would like to remind you that there is nothing for you to fear as God can handle everything. Be cheerful and be strong in the Lord! God is going to come through for you in Jesus' name.

Share those fears that you have with God. God can handle everything. 

The Lord is with you, you are not alone!

May My Words Be Acceptable to God

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well. I apologise for the long silence via my Faith Blog, I have been busy juggling a number of responsibilities. Also, I took time to rest for two weeks. Due to the various responsibilities that the Lord has given me, sometimes, I do not have enough time to rest. However, I have been intentional in scheduling a time to rest regularly as rest is important. In fact, Jesus said to His disciples, "Come ye apart and rest for a little while (Mark 6:31b)."

I recently read a Prayer in the Bible that David said to God. I believe it is a prayer that we can all pray. In Psalms 19:14, David prayed by saying"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer (NKJV version)."



Can I encourage you to also pray Psalms 19:14? You can read it above. After you have finished praying the Scripture, I would like you to reflect on the following:

 - Are your words acceptable to God? 

- Do you speak carelessly or positively? 

- Are your thoughts controlled by the Holy Spirit? Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that we have a choice of what we think about. "Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life."

- Since you have a choice over what you think about, be deliberate in pushing away the thoughts of worries, insecurities, and criticisms that are on your mind. 

As we read in Psalm 19:14, David recognised the importance of asking God to help him with what came out of his mouth and what he thought about. 

When your words and thoughts are not pleasing to God, they are most likely going to damage you and others who are around you. However, when your words and thoughts are pleasing to God, they will build you up positively and they will encourage others.

I would like to encourage you to reflect Christ in your words and watch your words diligently by ensuring that the words that come out of your mouths build you up and encourage those who hear them.

Are you aware that our Lord God said that, on the day of judgement, we shall all give account of every careless word that we utter? If that is the Lord's plan, what manner of words do you think you should speak?

May your words and thoughts be full of grace in Jesus' name.

Be Specific With Your Thanksgiving To God

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well. I have a meeting shortly but the Lord said, I should take a pause and share this message with you before 10am. 

God would like you to have an attitude of gratitude and for you to be specific with your thanksgiving as this would help you to stay joyful and to remember that God is Good. In essence, your faith in God will be renewed when you are specific with your thanksgiving to God. 

Let us use Psalm 23 to give thanks to God this morning: 

Thank you, Jesus, for meeting my needs (Specify those needs)

Thank you Jesus that I can find rest in you

Thank you Jesus for the peace that I am enjoying



Thank you Jesus for refreshing and replenishing me when I am drained

Thank you Jesus for protecting me and my family

Thank you Jesus for keeping me safe

Thank you Jesus for giving me the courage to make the right decisions at the right time even when the decisions you have asked me to make do not please some people. 

Thank you for the grace to obey your words even in little things (specify those little things)

Thank you, Jesus, for always supporting me, even if I am surrounded by issues of life

Thank you Jesus for favouring me in (Specify those things)

I am confident in you, Jesus and I know that my future is secure in you.

Thank you Jesus for filling my life with your blessings (Name those blessings).

In Jesus' name, I have given thanks, Amen.

Sing to God

Hello Everyone,

How is your new week going?

Imagine going to the doctor to discuss fertility and the doctor looked at you and said, "Sing man, Sing woman! Sing!"


 

The doctor followed this by giving you a prescription and inside the prescription sheet, it says "Sing, keep singing and sing songs of victory about the children you are going to have."

How lovely would that be?

Does this sound strange? Could this ever happen?

This was exactly what the Lord said in Isaiah 54:1. The Word of God says "Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who've never experienced childbirth! You're ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women. God says so!"

The Lord is saying to His children that are waiting on Him for one thing or the other or His children that are experiencing barrenness in something, the Lord is saying that you should exercise your faith by singing songs of victory.

God doesn't want you to wait until you have received the promise from Him before you start singing but rather when the promise looks like it is impossible to come through or you aren't seeing the harvest of your prayers, God is saying "Sing, sing because I said so."

It's probably easy to sing after you have seen the harvest but God wants you to stretch your faith further by singing songs of victory before you experience the harvest.

I love the way the International Children's Bible Version (ICB) explains Hebrews 11:1, it says "Faith means being sure of the things we hope for. And faith means knowing that something is real even if we do not see it."

Will you sing in faith believing that the things that you hope for are certainly coming to pass?


One interesting thing is that God didn't just give this advice to the barren woman but He also gave the same advice to a nation that wanted to experience victory and restoration.

The Word of God says in Zephaniah 3:14-15 "Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! For the Lord will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the Lord himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last, your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster."

Digest the above Scripture in Zephaniah 3:14-15 again.

God is wanting to reward His children's faith this season through miracles, signs and wonders but He is asking you to sing before you see the miracles.

Remember, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God in prison before they experienced freedom? It was during their singing that the Lord caused a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken and all the prison doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose and the Lord saved Paul and Silas, also, one of the jailers gave his life to Christ (Acts 16:25-34).

Will you exercise your faith by singing?

Will you sing songs of victory rather than moaning and grumbling?

Are you a Praise leader or a worshipper? Use your gift to draw God's children to sing songs of victory unto God and watch what God will do in their lives and in your life.

Don't underestimate the power of singing songs of victory whilst you are waiting for your miracle.

Sing! Sing! Sing!

Press on to Spiritual Maturity

Hello Everyone,

How is your week going? I hope you are well. I have been pondering on spiritual growth. I recently preached a topic at church on "The Milestones of Spiritual Growth." Click here to listen >>https://on.soundcloud.com/a8gG4

Do you know that depending on the stage of your spiritual growth, it will influence how you handle conflicts and other issues of life? James 4:1 says "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?"

We all know Christians who make trouble more than they make peace. Conflict isn’t a Christian virtue. It is a sign of spiritual immaturity. Nevertheless, you can grow in spiritual maturity and as you grow, this will help you to manage conflicts. 

Would you like to grow in spiritual maturity? Can I please encourage you to study the Book of James at least 2 times? As you study the Book of James, it is my prayer that the Word of God will transform you in Jesus' name. Please, come back and share with me how the Book of James has transformed your life. 

Hebrews 6:1 tells us, “Let’s press on to maturity.” God's desire is for His children to ALWAYS pursue spiritual growth so that we may be conformed to the image of His Dear Son (Romans 8:29).

Honour God In Your Job

Hello Everyone,

How is your week going? I hope you are doing well. I would love to share a story in the Bible with you tonight. It's about honouring God in our jobs. 


Do you know that God wants you to honour Him in all aspects of your life? 

There were 2 beautiful Hebrew women in the Bible called Shiphrah and Puah. I chose to call them beautiful because they feared the Lord in their lives and when they experienced temptation. 

Shiphrah and Puah worked as midwives (Exodus 1:15). The king (Pharoah) had asked them to kill all the newborn baby boys as soon as they were born while he asked Shiphrah and Puah to let the newborn baby girls live. 

Pharoah asked for the newborn baby boys to be killed because the Israelites were becoming too many in Egypt and he didn't want them to fight against them as the boys would grow up to become men and they will fight against them.

Would the midwives honour Pharoah or would they disregard his command?

Shiphrah and Puah disregarded Pharoah's command. They chose to honour the Lord because they feared the Lord. The Word of God says in Exodus 1:20-21 that "So God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful. And because the midwives feared God, He gave them families of their own."

Did you read the above Exodus 1:20-21? 

The Word of God says that God was good to the midwives because they feared Him, and He gave them families of their own. The obedience of the midwives also led to the Israelites being multiplied and growing to be more powerful.

Can you see what honouring the Lord in your job or business can lead to?

If the midwives had prioritised honouring the king's command, they would have displeased God. However, they chose to honour the Lord in their careers. They were also fulfilling God's calling even in their day jobs.

  1. If you were in a similar position as the midwives, would you honour the Lord? 
  2. What is the greatest threat to you honouring the Lord?

The Postcode/Zip Code of the Holy Spirit is your Body

Hello Everyone,

How was your week? I hope you've had a lovely week. I have been meditating on the role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of a Christian. The Word of God says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

What a lovely reminder for you to know that the Third Person of the Godhead calls your body His temple. It also means your body is not owned by you anymore the moment you made a decision to follow Jesus. Your body is now owned by the Holy Spirit since He calls your body His home. It is worth saying that the home address/Post code/Zip code of the Holy Spirit is your body.



Do you live in the consciousness that you do not own your body but rather the Holy Spirit is the owner of your body?

Knowing that the Holy Spirit lives inside you should change how you live, where you go, what you say, what you wear, what you eat, what you drink, how you do things, and the daily choices that you make. 

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I'm so happy to be reminded that you dwell in me. It means you know the real me and I can't hide from you.

Holy Spirit, help me to live a life that is pleasing to God in Jesus' name.

3 Signs of Spiritual Growth

Hello Everyone,

How are you doing? For those in England, I hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday. Today, I went out with my husband and daughter and it was a beautiful family time out. My daughter planned our day trip, she went above and beyond to creatively plan our day out. I can't believe how grown our daughter is. With children's growth, it's always the desire of most parents to see their children grow as it brings joy to our hearts. Doesn't it? 

This is the same with God, He desires for His children to grow. He would like you to become more like Him in the way you show love and kindness, speak, in what you do, what you don't do, where you go, what you wear, how you give, when you give, and many more other things.


1) Manage your communication (Tame your tongue) through Christ's perspective - You will speak the truth in love, you will know how to speak, when to speak, and when not to speak. Your choice of words will start changing as you know that you will give account on the day of judgement for every empty word you speak (Matthew 12:36).  

Also, you will communicate positively, and you will declare positive things as you know that your words carry power. You'll be using the authority God has given you to declare His promises until you experience victory.

2) Your thoughts will start changing - The things you think about will start changing. You will not be too quick to make negative assumptions about situations. You will give people positive benefits of the doubt. You will take charge of your emotions when you are stressed or feeling down as the Word of God will help you regulate your emotions.  Philippians 4:8 says "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

You'll embrace the fact that nothing can stop God's plans from coming to pass in your life. This regularly guides your thoughts and actions. 

3) You'll care about others without wanting anything in return - Hebrews 10:24 says "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works."

As you become more like Christ, you will grow in loving your brothers and sisters in Christ. In fact, your utmost desire would be to be kind and compassionate to others because you understand the importance of walking in love and walking in forgiveness because of the love of Christ that fills your heart.

Finally, I'd like you to know that you cannot do the above in your own strength or in your own knowledge. You need to submit to the Word of God and the things that the Holy Spirit reminds you of, as the Holy Spirit wants to help you to become more like Christ BUT you need to keep saying Yes to His teachings.

God Speaks In The Most Unexpected of Times

Hello Everyone,

How are you? I hope you've had a lovely week and you're looking forward to the weekend. At church, we've been teaching the children how to 'catch' from God. Also, we've been reminding them that God can speak to them at any time. This could be when they are still in God's presence or it could be when they least expect Him to speak to them. 

We are engaging in various practical exercises with the children to bring the teachings alive.

I'd love to remind you of some people in the Bible that the Lord spoke to in unexpected moments.


1) In Exodus 3:1-19, God spoke to Moses when he was going about his everyday task as he was tending the flock of his father-in-law.

2) In Genesis 18:1, the Lord spoke to Abraham as he was enjoying the lovely warm weather outside.

3) In John 21:7-17, Jesus spoke to Peter while he was fishing.

I remember a time that I was tidying up the kitchen and the Lord shared a piece of delicate information with me. As soon as the Lord shared the information with me, I immediately voiced out what He had said to my husband who was in the kitchen with me. My husband's response was "I know, as God had told me."

Someone I know usually says that God speaks to her whenever she is in the toilet.

Are You Being Shaped by The Holy Spirit?

Hello Everyone,

How are you doing? I hope you've had a lovely week and you're looking forward to a great weekend. I also hope you've had a lovely Easter celebration. 

Yesterday, as I was preparing for the children's Sunday School for this coming Sunday, I pondered on the role of the Holy Spirit that Jesus left with us when He ascended to heaven. Let me give you a little bit of background to the story of Jesus' ascension, you can also read it here and here. 

The friends of Jesus were so pleased that He was alive. One day, Jesus took His disciples up a hill. He explained that the time had come for Him to go back to Heaven. However, He said they would not be left alone because soon a Special Helper called the Holy Spirit would come to them. 

One of the roles of the Holy Spirit is to shape you to become who God has created you to be. He does this by regularly reminding you of what Jesus has taught you. John 14:26 (AMP version) says "But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you."

Do you allow the Holy Spirit to teach you all things?

Do you respond to His teachings?

Are you being shaped by the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit would like to shape you more in the area of forgiving others. Are you ready to be shaped by Him?

Do you stylishly read someone's social media platform status but you don't want them to know?

Does someone's name pops into your mind and you boil with anger?

Are you a Christian?

Do you know that the journey of Christianity on this earth is a journey of living in forgiveness?

Can you say this prayer? 

Holy Spirit, increase my capacity to love others. 

Increase my capacity to love those that have offended me. 

Increase my capacity to love those that have irritated me or still irritating me in Jesus' name, Amen.

The love of God has been shed upon your heart and God loves you regardless of the stage you are in your spiritual growth. Why not extend the same love of God that you enjoy to others?

The Holy Spirit would like to shape you more in the area of forgiving others. 

Are you ready to be shaped by Him?

Don't resist the help of the Holy Spirit.

It's time to Shine for God

Hello Everyone,

How is your preparation for Easter? Easter is an opportunity for you to reflect on how the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have transformed so many lives in the world. 

It's also an opportunity for you to reflect on the life that you are living. Are you shining the light of Christ that is in you? 

Isaiah 60:1-3 says "Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."


The world is getting darker but the light that you carry is greater than darkness. Why don't you confound the darkness by shining the light of God in you?

Arise and shine!

Live out the life that God has given you.

Keep shining the light of God that is in you.

Arise and shine!

God knows your home address

Hello Readers & Followers,

How are you doing? I hope you are keeping well. I have a question to ask you. Keep reading...

Do you believe that God knows the exact house location you are at whenever you are praying? God also knows what you are praying about. That's right, God knows. 

Let me share what Jesus said to Ananias with you. In the Book of Acts 9:11, Jesus said to Ananias that "The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying."


Jesus said to Ananias, go to the house of Judas on Straight Street, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. How reassuring is it for you to know that whenever you are praying to God, God is right there with you, He knows the exact location you are at and He knows you by name?

I hope this encourages you to keep creating time to connect with God through prayers.

3 Lessons from the Story of Philip and The Ethiopian Eunuch

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are keeping well. Last week, at our House Group from church, I equipped us on the story of Philip in the Book of Acts 8:26-40. I shared 3 lessons from the story of Philip and the Ethiopian Man.

The Bible tells us how God led Philip to a high-ranking Ethiopian official to help him understand the Gospel.

Who was Philip?
Philip was among the first deacons ordained by the early church in Jerusalem. He was also one of the seven men chosen to serve at the table in the daily distribution of food to the widows.

Philip was not only a man of service, but he was also a man of evangelism. 

After the death of Stephen, Philip went to Samaria and preached to the people there. The people were receptive to his message, and many were baptised.

While in Samaria, in
Acts 8:26, an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” 

Philip obeyed and, on the road, he saw a man from Ethiopia who was a Eunuch. He was reading from the scroll of the
Prophet Isaiah. The man was not able to understand what he was reading. Philip approached the man and asked him if he understood what he was reading. 

The man said he did not understand what he had read and he asked Philip to explain it to him. Philip then began to preach Jesus to the man, and as they rode along in the chariot, the man believed and was baptised.

Who was The Ethiopian Eunuch?
Acts 8:27 recorded that The Ethiopian Eunuch was of great authority under Candace, the queen of Ethiopia. He was on his way back to his country. 
He was in Israel to worship the Lord at the temple, which means he was probably a Jewish convert. On his way home, God planned to change his life for good.





3 LESSONS FROM THE ACCOUNT OF PHILIP AND THE ETHIOPIAN EUNUCH


1) Be quick to obey God's instructions for you


When the Spirit of God tells you to do something, obey quickly.
Acts 8:26 - 27 says " When the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip to arise and go towards the south along the road down from Jerusalem to Gaza, the Bible says that ”he arose and went.”

The angel of the Lord spoke to Philip to arise and go to a particular area, Philip rose and went immediately. This time around in Acts 8:29 -30, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to Philip, and Philip obeyed immediately. 

Acts 8:29-30 say "Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”
So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

Philip was quick to obey God. He didn’t doubt the incomplete instruction; instead, he obeyed.
How many opportunities have you missed because you failed to act on God’s instruction and nudging?   

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”   
Sometimes we may not know why God is asking us to do something, but we can trust that He knows what He’s doing.  


2) The GOSPEL IS FOR EVERYONE

The Ethiopian Eunuch was a man of great authority. Sometimes, we think someone that has gone far in their sin, or someone of a particular faith/beliefs or non-beliefs, or someone that is way too far from God won't want to know Christ.
We may even think someone may not need the gospel because they are wealthy and well respected, or they have an honourable position in society. Do you know these views are not Biblical? 
The Ethiopian Eunuch was a Royal official with a high rank. He belonged to another culture but responded to the Gospel and Salvation. The Gospel does not have a bias toward personality or status. The Gospel is not only for the poor or the wealthy; the Gospel is for all! 
The Gospel must be preached to everyone, regardless of status, race, tribe, position, colour, or language. We must take the Gospel everywhere and preach it to everyone.
Acts 8:30-31 say "So Philip ran to him and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him."

While this is telling us that the gospel is for everyone. It is also telling us that we need the help of others to understand the Bible. Who are the people that help you gain insights into God's Word?

3) The role of God is important in whatever we do, and in evangelism

The Bible says in John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.” 

We need God to lead us. The angel of the Lord and the Spirit of God led Philip to the Ethiopian Eunuch.

God sent His interventions to help with the evangelism but Philip had to play a role.

3 Lessons I learnt from Watching the Biopic of Enoch (Pastor E.A Adeboye)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I watched the Biopic of Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer (G.O) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). 

Pastor Adeboye is fondly known as Daddy G.O while his wife is fondly known as Mummy G.O.
 

I thought to share 3 Lessons that I learnt from watching the Biopic of Enoch:


1) Don't let the fear of what people would say hinder you from doing what God tells you to do


Papa Akindayomi (The Founding Pastor of RCCG) followed God's instruction even though he knew some people would not be happy with his decision. The Bible says in Psalm 56:11 "In God, I put my trust and I will not be afraid."

The obedience of Papa Akindayomi has led to the expansion of the Body of Christ and God's kingdom.

2) It is never too late for anyone to come to Christ


Daddy G.O's past life did not hinder him from coming to Christ and being saved. Please, don't stop standing in the gap of prayer for your family or parents or your community. You can use Acts 26:18 to pray for them on a regular basis.

Acts 26:18 says "Open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in Christ.”

3) It is rewarding to follow Christ but it comes with a price


Mummy and Daddy G.O sacrificed a number of things to follow Christ. From emptying their bank accounts as an act of obedience to God, to Daddy G.O giving up his dream of becoming the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa to Daddy G.O prioritising evangelism and allowing his support network in the village to watch over his sick mother rather than himself.

Mummy and Daddy G.O Adeboye sought the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things were added to them. The honour, the spiritual children all over the world, the material riches, and many more things have been added to them.
