The Grace of God Can Redeem Your Past Mistakes!

Hello Readers & Followers,

I hope you are well. Let me ask you, who do you think would win an award for "The Most Outstanding Christian." Your Pastor? You? Your Favourite Preacher? Your Parents? Your Spouse? A Prayer Warrior? An Evangelist? Someone, you know?

Do you know that all the people that I have mentioned above have all made one mistake or the other regardless of how committed to the Lord they may have been/are? The difference is that the degree of mistakes that we all make varies but they are still mistakes.

Despite the mistakes, God never stopped loving you but He is patiently waiting for you to turn to Him by acknowledging your past mistakes, turn away from your mistakes, and change the way you live by letting your new way of life please Him (God).

The God of Grace regularly shows you His undeserving kindness by freeing you from the guilt of your past mistakes.

In the Book of Luke 15:11-32,  the Prodigal Son made a mistake but he was restored and the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ empowered him to make the right choice. God's desire is for you not to keep making the same mistakes again.

I would like to run you through some things for you to consider to prevent you from making future mistakes.

Be mindful of:

1) Your Desire - The Word of God says in James 1:14-15 "You are tempted by the evil things you want. Your own desire leads you away and traps you. Your desire grows inside you until it results in sin. Then the sin grows bigger and bigger and finally ends in death."

What are the things that you are desiring now? Are those the things the Lord is desiring for you?

2) Your Decision - What decision are you about to make? Are you seeking God's guidance before you make the decision? Or do you make decisions that are independent of God?

Do you take a pause to study the consequences of the decision you are about to make?

When you choose to make decisions that are independent of God, you are likely to make mistakes.  Proverbs 3:5 says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."

Whose understanding are you leaning on when you are making a decision? God or your own understanding or your emotions?

Do you prefer to do your own thing? If you choose to do your own thing, the likelihood of making a mistake or going outside of God's purpose for your life is high.

Do not forget the role of satan, he played a significant role in deceiving Eve and in deceiving the Prodigal Son. Most likely, the devil deceived the Prodigal Son by telling him that he would be better off spending and wasting all the money. In the same way, the devil deceived Eve into eating the fruit from the tree that God had asked them not to eat from, she gave some to her husband to eat as well (Genesis 3:1-12). Eve acknowledged the role of the deceiver, she said to God, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." (Genesis 3:13).

Eve chose to believe satan rather than the counsel of the Lord to her, which led to a terrible mistake that came with consequences (Genesis 3:13-19). The Prodigal Son's mistake also led to consequences. He became extremely hungry and fed on pigs' food (Luke 15:14-17). The Prodigal Son came to his senses because the Grace of the Lord strengthened and empowered him and he was restored.

Are you in despair?

Have you made a terrible mistake?  The Grace of God wants to restore you. Are you going to reach out to Christ to amend your ways?

Do you want to avoid making mistakes so that your current decision will not end up being a mistake, why don't you consider the teaching above?

I love hearing from you in the comment section. Please take a minute to say hello in the comment section.

Have a lovely day!

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

Halloween is associated with darkness, witches, and death. It glorifies darkness, ghosts, witches, and wizards.

1 Corinthians 10:31b says "‭‭Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Ephesians 5:11 says ‭‭"Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them."

Don't welcome demons into your life or in your surroundings or your children's lives.

Halloween is a time for you to be more spiritually alert and pray against the works of darkness in your community. It is not the time for you to participate in it.

If you say you are a Christian, you cannot serve God who is the light and satan who embraces darkness at the same time. You cannot be an unbelieving Christian. Jesus said in Luke 4:8 "‭‭You must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him."

Jesus wants you to be the light of the world. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:14‭ says “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden."

Matthew 5:16 says "In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father."

Christian parents and caregivers have the responsibility to educate their children regarding the evil that comes with Halloween pumpkins, costumes, and the Trick-or-Treat tradition. Adults should likewise lead by example to the young ones. It's not the time you should start participating in a disco Halloween party.

Shine the light of God this season. Let all that you participate in this season give God glory. Let all that you do please God.

Stand out for Christ as a family!
Encourage your children to stand out for Christ!
Find ways to shine the light of Christ this season. Perhaps throw a light party? Have a prayer night? A Gospel worship music jamming session? Share Christian Tracts.

Let the Spirit of God guide you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

God Bless You!

You are not alone!

God sees what you're going through. God cares about what you're going through. Have faith in God to see you through. Exodus 3:12a says, God answered, "I will be with you."

I would like to remind you that there is nothing for you to fear as God can handle everything. Be cheerful and be strong in the Lord! God is going to come through for you in Jesus' name.

Share those fears that you have with God. God can handle everything.

The Lord is with you, you are not alone!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Yours in Christ,
