Hello Readers & Followers,
I hope your week is going on well. My Bible Study group members are currently completing a few activities to connect with God as the Holy Spirit is wanting His children all over the world to spend more time with Him.
1 Chronicles 16:11 says "Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually!"
God is wanting His children to continually seek Him. The question is, how often are you in His presence? Is it continually? Take time to evaluate your schedule and find ways to connect with God.
Do you have 10 minutes free in the morning or 30 minutes or 1 hour free in the morning, in the afternoon or at night? Do things quiet down after 9pm for you? Or are you most alert after your morning exercise or before breakfast? It is usually advisable to schedule your free time to connect with God.
Or could it be you do not have any time to connect with God? I'd say, you probably have a bit of spare time on a daily basis, the question is, what are the things that distract you from connecting with God? Be deliberate to limit distractions that hinder you from spending time with God.
As you evaluate your schedule, take small steps on a daily basis to connect with God. Your daily routine matters to God. If you still have young children, I would like you to evaluate their weekly routine and examine how they are spending time with God.
As a reader of Mysses Lafunky's Blog, I would love you to take time out to spend time with God as your daily routine matters to God. With inspiration from the Holy Spirit, I have devised the below weekly routine to help you connect with God.
A WEEKLY ROUTINE TO CONNECT WITH GOD
Monday: Create time to listen to instrumental worship music (click here ), as you listen to the instrumental worship music, write a letter to God, share everything that is on your mind with God. After you have written your letter, take a pause to hear what the Lord is saying to you.
Tuesday: Take time out to pray in tongues. Listen to your favourite worship song as you pray in tongues. Spend a minimum of 15 minutes to pray in tongues. To learn more about the benefits of praying in tongues, click here.
Wednesday: Take time out to worship God by singing songs, hymns. You can also eulogize God.
Thursday: Speak forth God's promises into your life and family including your church family.
Friday: Speak forth God's promises to countries that are experiencing turmoil.
Saturday: Take time out to listen to a Christian sermon or listen to an audio Bible. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
Sunday: Take time out to share anything that you would like to discuss with God.
The above routine is adaptable and you can tweak it to suit your schedule. Above all, depend on the Holy Spirit, the Greatest teacher, ask Him on a daily basis on how He would like you to spend time with God and what He would like you to study.
I love reading from you in the comment section. Please take a minute to answer the following questions:
1) What practical steps do you incorporate to build your relationship with God?
2) Are you satisfied with your relationship with God?
I'd love to read from you.
