Hello Everyone,
How was your week? Thank God It's Friday! Last week, I wrote about the power of the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit teaches us all things. If you missed the article, click here to read it.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26 KJV version).
During the week, I set a task for my Bible Study Group members to dig deeper on what it means for the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter and for us to explore the Greek meaning of the word "Comforter." I was immensely blessed by the study and I thought to share a few points with you from our study.
The word "Comforter" in Greek means an advocate, an intercessor, a helper, a comforter, and someone that comes to one's aid. The Greek word for Comforter is "κασκόλ"
In English, the word "Comforter" means a person that provides consolation, gives strength, eases one's grief, and someone that assists or support and someone that brings comfort.
Having the word "Comforter" explained above makes the acts of the Holy Spirit more real. How amazing for us to know that the Holy Spirit can play so many roles in our lives. God has created you not to live your life alone, He has placed the Holy Spirit in our lives to help us, to give strength and to give us hope.
Have you given the Holy Spirit full access to your life? Do you allow the Holy Spirit to help you?
Let the Holy Spirit be your best friend.
Also, I love hearing from you in the comment section. Please take a minute to say ‘hello’ by leaving a comment.
Have a lovely weekend!
Yours in Christ,
Mysses Lafunky
