Being Drunk...Being Led...

Happy New Month to my readers and followers.  It’s June, it’s half of year 2013 already.  I can’t believe how this year has gone pretty fast; it’s going to be Christmas soon.  Wow!

Do you have anything to thank God for?  Has God done anything awesome in your life from January- May 2013?  Also, how have you kept God’s commandments from January –May 2013?  God said that, if you love Him, you will keep His commandments (John 14:15).

I am grateful for God’s amazing love towards me.  Albeit I knew God loves me,  I had  not felt His love like the way I currently feel,  there are astonishing Testimonies and incredible signs  that  I am experiencing that evidently shows God loves towards me.

God has proven Himself to me as the sovereign God.  It pays to undertake uncommon actions for God; I can guarantee you that you will experience uncommon favour after you have undertaken uncommon actions for God.

I sacrificed a lot to obey a certain instruction that God gave me.  When I made the sacrifice, it was extremely painful but I'm immersing in the benefits of acting on His instructions.

I want to encourage you all to listen, and be guided by God.  He has your best interests at heart, He WOULD NEVER mislead you.  Although when He guides and instructs you, He gives you the choice to obey.  I want to encourage you that, it pays to act on God’s instructions even if it appears not to be simple, but once you act upon it,  it becomes easy , and the Lord will be pleased with you, and He will reward you accordingly.

I must also stress that, when God instructs you, it is best to ‘JUST DO IT’ immediately like Nike logo.  This is because people may misguide you, even if they are fellow believers.  Acts 5: 29 states that,  Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather humans”.   You also may start doubting God's Word if you don't act quickly.  Can I suggest that, if you are not sure that it is God that is instructing you, I would advise you to seek counsel from a Christian leader that you believe would guide you in line with the Word of God.  You can also ask God to show you signs that He is the one speaking to you.  I implement this a lot and it works for me greatly.

It pays to be led by God.  The Bible says in Romans 8:14- For as many are led by the Spirit of God; they are the sons of God.  When you allow God to lead you, you are likely to have a sense of peace and joy in you.

This week, I've been meditating on the signs that someone that has indulged in high excess of alcohol depicts.

A drunkard is usually slow in physical reactions, his or her ability to drive, walk, talk and function becomes limited.  Some drunkards even hallucinate, some engage in fights, some become extremely friendly with strangers; some drunkards become very paranoid, some drunkards depict violence, amongst others.

Are you wondering why I was meditating on signs that drunkards depict?  Basically, I was trying to make comparison in relation to being drunk in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5: 18).

Do you know how you can be drunk in the Holy Spirit? What types of signs and symptoms would you depict if you are drunk in the Holy Spirit?

  1. Drunk in the Holy Spirit . . . I have to think about this. A drunk would tell you the complete truth without hiding anything so I'm thinking that when you're drunk in the spirit, you're completely open to God without any barrier, it's like a direct comm with God without any interference of the flesh; just thinking out loud

    1. True! To be completely open without any barrier. To be truthful under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
